Ringmula Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ringmula collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. Ringmula is operated by Reed Property Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Ringmula ("Operator," "we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at privacy@ringmula.com or 539 W Commerce St Suite 2553, Dallas, TX 75208.
This policy works together with the Ringmula Terms of Service, the Homeowner Terms, and the Vendor Terms. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. A quick summary
1.1 We collect the information we need to run a permission-based marketplace that connects Homeowners and Vendors. We protect Homeowner identity through the Lead Firewall, which limits what a Vendor can see at each stage of a Ring.
1.2 We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not show third-party ads in the Platform, and we do not let advertisers pay to influence what you see.
1.3 You have choices and rights over your information, described in Section 8.
2. The information we collect
2.1 Information you give us when you register and use the Platform:
- Account basics: your name, email address, and role (Homeowner or Resident, which includes renters and authorized residents; Vendor; or Vendor Rep).
- Homeowner details: the address you control, your service preferences, and your door settings.
- Vendor details: business name, contact information, service categories, service area, and registered Vendor Reps.
- Phone number, if you provide it for notifications and consent to receive them.
- Payment and payout information processed through our payment provider, and the tax information we need to pay Mula and meet reporting duties.
- Content you submit, such as messages, reviews, service descriptions, and a business logo.
2.2 Information we collect automatically when you use the Platform:
- Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken.
- QR-code scan events, such as which code was scanned and the resulting action.
- Cookies and similar technologies that keep you signed in, remember your settings, and help us understand how the Platform is used.
2.3 Information from others:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our payment processor, email and SMS delivery providers, hosting, security, and analytics providers.
- Fraud-prevention and security signals used to keep the Platform safe.
2.4 We collect only what we need for the purposes in this policy.
3. How the Lead Firewall controls Homeowner information
3.1 The Lead Firewall is central to how we protect Homeowners. It limits what a Vendor can see about a Homeowner at each stage of a Ring, and it applies across dashboards, messages, analytics, and any data export.
3.2 While a Ring is pending or has been declined, a Vendor sees only the ZIP code and non-identifying outcome or status. No first name, last name, address, phone, email, account identifier, or QR identifier is shared.
3.3 When a Homeowner accepts a Ring to meet, a Vendor sees the Homeowner's first and last name, ZIP code, and the agreed meeting time only. The Vendor does not see the address, phone number, or email address. This is enough to hold the online presentation.
3.4 After the presentation, if the Homeowner chooses to move forward with the Vendor, the Homeowner may release address, phone number, and email address to the Vendor. If the Homeowner does not choose to move forward, no additional contact information is released. This Tier 3 release is an explicit Homeowner consent action; it is never inferred from payment, meeting completion, or a Vendor's request.
3.5 Any file a Vendor exports follows the same tiers as the on-screen view. We design the Platform so that hidden identifiers are not included in lower-tier data.
4. How we use information
4.1 We use personal information to:
- create and manage accounts and authenticate sign-in;
- operate core features, including Rings, Ring Campaigns, the Lead Firewall, scheduling, online presentations, the Ring Wallet, and Mula;
- process payments and Mula payouts and meet tax-reporting duties;
- send account, security, transaction, and appointment messages by email and, with consent, by SMS;
- provide support and respond to your requests;
- maintain safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- understand and improve the Platform; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4.2 We rely on the information you provide and on a legitimate need to operate the service you asked for. Where the law requires consent, such as for certain SMS messages, we obtain it.
5. How we share information
5.1 Between Users, only as the Lead Firewall allows. Vendor information needed to present a service is shown to Homeowners, and Homeowner information is shared with Vendors only at the tier and with the consent described in Section 3.
5.2 With service providers that perform functions for us, such as payment processing, email and SMS delivery, hosting, security, fraud prevention, and analytics. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
5.3 For legal and safety reasons, such as to comply with a law or valid legal request, to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Users or the public, and to prevent fraud or harm.
5.4 In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred to the successor, consistent with this policy.
5.5 We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies and tracking
6.1 We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Platform, and measure usage. Some are necessary for the Platform to work, and others help us understand and improve it.
6.2 You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Platform works for you. We honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals where required by law.
7. How long we keep information
7.1 We keep personal information for as long as your Account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy.
7.2 After you close your Account, we keep certain information as needed to finish payouts, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, keep required business and tax records, and comply with law. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it.
7.3 Records that demonstrate consent, such as SMS consent and policy acceptance, are kept for as long as needed to show compliance.
8. Your privacy rights and choices
8.1 Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we collect, to access a copy, to correct inaccuracies, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out for those activities is not needed, but you may still exercise your other rights.
8.2 Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the rights described above. We honor these rights as the law provides.
8.3 To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@ringmula.com. We will verify your request, usually by confirming control of the email on your Account, and we will respond within the time the law allows. You will not be treated differently for exercising a right.
8.4 If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
8.5 You can also manage many choices directly: update your profile, adjust door and notification settings, reply STOP to end texts, use unsubscribe links in emails, and pause your door or close your Account at any time.
9. Communications and consent
9.1 We send transactional messages needed to run the Platform. With your consent, we send SMS notifications such as Ring alerts and appointment reminders. Our texts are not marketing. Reply STOP to opt out, and message and data rates may apply.
9.2 Our email practices follow the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Telephone and text contact is handled consistent with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and we collect consent before sending SMS where it is required.
9.3 SMS opt-in privacy. Your SMS opt-in consent is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for that third party's marketing purposes. We use your SMS opt-in consent and related records only for our own transactional and account-related communications with you.
9.4 SMS message frequency and assistance. SMS messages may be sent using automated technology. You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP and can request help by replying HELP. Message frequency may vary based on your Account activity.
10. Security
10.1 We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, row-level access rules in our database, and bot and abuse protection.
10.2 No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.3 If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law, without unreasonable delay.
11. Children
11.1 The Platform is for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Neighbor and community features
12.1 Some features let a neighbor or passerby send a Homeowner a message by scanning a QR code, such as a note about a delivered package or an open garage. These features are designed to avoid exchanging phone numbers or contact details. We process only the limited information needed to deliver the message, and the same protections in this policy apply.
13. Information practices for the beta
13.1 During the closed beta, some processing, billing, and payouts may be handled manually, and features may change. We apply this policy to beta data and will update the policy as the Platform develops.
14. Changes to this policy
14.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes apply going forward. If you continue to use the Platform after a change, you accept the updated policy.
